What is MakerHunt?

A daily indie product hunt. Submit, launch around 09:00 UTC, collect votes and comments, earn rank badges.

What time do new projects launch?

Around 09:00 UTC. Free listings go live on the next UTC day after a successful badge crawl, or after we approve a review-queue listing.

Will my product appear on the homepage?

Yes, once status is ongoing (live day) or after close as launched. Crawl-failed, scheduled, and unlisted listings are not on the public feed. Owners can unlist a launch from the dashboard (soft hide, not a hard delete).

How are rankings determined?

Upvotes. One vote per signed-in user per project. Self-upvote is allowed. Votes stay open after launch day. Daily ranks 1–3 lock at day close. Ties go to who hit that vote count first. Week and month top 3 use live totals for your launch period.

How many products can launch each day?

No daily cap. Empty days still run.

Can I edit my listing after submit?

Yes. Owners can edit tagline, description (markdown), categories, cover, gallery screenshots, and socials from the listing Edit page. Website URL, slug, and launch day stay locked.

When can people upvote?

Anytime a listing is public (ongoing launch day or launched). One vote per signed-in user per project. Product of the Day ranks still lock when that launch day closes (~09:00 UTC).

Can I relaunch?

Relaunch cooldowns are planned (about 1 / 3 / 5). They are not enforced in this version.

Badge and backlinks

What is the MakerHunt badge?

A small embed for your product homepage. We crawl it on the free path. It is not the paid Featured launch (€19), which is chrome on MakerHunt itself.

Do I get a dofollow backlink?

Free listings: dofollow only if our badge is on your homepage. You can still list via the review queue without it. Paid listings skip the badge and still get dofollow from MakerHunt.

Where do I copy badge HTML?

Owners: /projects/[slug]/badges. Markup reference: /legal/badges. Embed URLs use the live site origin in production.

What is the domain rating widget on the home page?

A VerifiedDR embed for our domain (verifieddr.com). It is a third-party score, not an Ahrefs number we invented, and it is not on the pricing page.

Account

How do I sign in?

Google popup or magic link email. Session is an HTTP-only Firebase cookie.

What is a username?

A public handle for /makers/your-handle. Required after first login. You can change it later from Account.

Who can submit?

Anyone with a MakerHunt account. Community claim of someone else’s listing is not in this version.

Billing

Is MakerHunt free?

Yes. Free: badge crawl or review queue. Premium €7 and Featured €19 skip both. Sponsor is €29/month for the home list plus site-wide rails, max 10 spots.

Do you offer refunds?

Launch SKUs are one-time Checkout. Contact support if a payment failed or duplicated. We do not auto-refund after a live day.

Is there an SEO package?

Not for sale right now. We will offer Featured plus an operator review article when the fulfill path is ready. Until then, use Free, Premium, or Featured.
