How Featured-on and crawl work
Free MakerHunt listings need a homepage badge. Here is what we check and when you go live.

Free launches on MakerHunt are not a paid slot auction. You put a Featured-on MakerHunt badge on your homepage, we crawl it, and you get the next UTC launch day.
What we crawl
Your homepage must include the badge markup from attribution badges. We fetch the URL you submitted, look for that mark, and store the result on the project.
If the crawl fails, your dashboard shows why. Fix the homepage, then re-run crawl. Admins can override a false fail.
What else the listing needs
- Tagline of at least 10 characters
- One to three categories
- A logo
- Product pricing model (free, freemium, or paid)
- At least one platform
- Launch date is the next UTC day after a successful crawl (around 09:00 UTC)
Cover image, X URL, and affiliate program URL are optional.
Paid launches
Featured and SEO skip the badge crawl. Premium is a paid listing but does not take a Featured home slot. Featured home is three cells: live Featured or SEO launches, then empty spots that link to pricing.
